Will inform applicant to submit the required documentation within two weeks through e-mail or telephone.
Convene the Faculty Appeal and Review Committee Meeting within three weeks upon receiving the statement of claim to the Faculty Appeal and Review Committee.
Complete the review statement within 2 weeks after the meeting.
In principle, the resolution will be completed within 3 months, can be extended if necessary; however, the extension must not exceed 2 months. Applicants shall contact the responsible staff member upon not receiving a resolution within this time period.

Q: When can an appeal be filed?
A: A faculty member who thinks that their rights or interest were unlawfully or improperly injured by disciplinary action on the part of a government unit or the institution may file a claim to the Faculty Appeal and Review Committee in accordance with the institutional regulations.

Q: If I am unwilling to accept a written resolution, how do I file a claim?
A: Please download the Statement of Claims for MCU Faculty Appeal and Review Committee under the Downloadable Files of the Required Document on the Faculty Appeal website, and write your request and opinion within 30 days upon receiving the written resolution.

Q: How does a resolution come about? Is the resolution fair?
A: The Faculty Appeal and Review Committee consists of 15 members, 12 members representing full-time faculty members, one member representing administrative staff, one member representing education scholars, and one member representing the Taipei District Faculty Organization or a branch thereof. The number of faculty with non-administrative appointments should comprise two thirds or more of the total number of committee members. A majority of Committee members must be present and more than two thirds of the members must be in agreement to overturn a resolution or rescind a punishment. In principle, the meeting is convened in private session, though the claimant or related person(s) may be present to provide explanation.
